Dr Etienne Maritz is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon practising full-time at Montana hospital, Pretoria. He qualified at the University of Pretoria and is a member of the AAOS (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons).
He specialises in knee related problems and injuries, sports injuries and orthopaedic trauma.
He is a firm believer in continuous medical education. He attends congresses regularly to stay up to date and to supply his patients with a wide range of modern treatment options. He endeavours to provide initial conservative treatment and if a procedure is needed the least invasive option is selected.

Dr Etienne is part of the MOSSIE (Montana Orthopaedic & Spinal Specialist Institute of Excellence) unit and regularly provides emergency orthopaedic care to new and existing patients. We aim to provide continuity of care for 365 days a year.

Dr Etienne Maritz is accredited by Discovery for replacements as well as with ICPS. The practice has payment arrangements with Discovery, Bankmed, Bonitas, Fedhealth, Medscheme, Momentum, Netcare, Polmed and is part of their Specialist network.
For other medical aids we ask as a small additional theatre fee. Pensioners do not have to pay for the additional theatre fee. You do however remain liable for codes that your medical aid does not cover.
